Account and Data Deletion

At Mango, you have the right to request deletion of your account and personal data at any time.

Deleting your account will permanently remove your personal information and content associated with your account from our active systems, subject to limited exceptions described below.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1 — In-App Deletion (Recommended)

You can delete your account directly in the app:

Settings → Account → Delete Account

You will be asked to confirm before deletion is processed.

Option 2 — Request by Email

If you cannot access your account, you may request deletion by contacting:

(or your current Mango email)

Please include:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your username (if known)
  • The subject line: Account Deletion Request

We may ask for additional verification to protect your privacy.

What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

When deletion is processed, we will permanently remove:

  • Your account profile information
  • Email address and login credentials
  • Tasks and productivity data
  • Messages and communications
  • Posts and comments
  • Group memberships
  • Contacts imported for friend discovery
  • Device identifiers associated with your account

Your account will no longer be accessible.

Data Retention and Exceptions

Some information may be retained for a limited time where required for:

  • Legal compliance
  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Financial recordkeeping
  • Enforcement of our Terms

This data will not be used for any other purpose.

Backups containing deleted data are automatically purged on a rolling basis.

Third-Party Data

Mango uses trusted service providers to operate the app, including:

  • Cloud hosting and databases
  • Messaging infrastructure
  • Analytics and crash reporting
  • Advertising services

When your account is deleted, we also request deletion of your data from these providers where applicable.

Some providers may retain anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you.

Ads and Device Data

If you previously received ads, advertising identifiers associated with your account will no longer be linked to you after deletion.

You may also reset your device’s advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.

Processing Time

Account deletion requests are typically processed within:

Up to 30 days

Most deletions occur sooner.

Children’s Data

Mango is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us so we can remove the account immediately.
